The City of Armadale is inviting local businesses and organisations to get involved in distributing Acts of Kindness cards this November. Help us spread kindness and build connections throughout the community by registering below. 🌞

This November, in line with World Kindness Day, the City is once again launching the Acts of Kindness Project to encourage everyone to spread kindness. The City has produced a community kindness card, explaining the benefits of acts of kindness and some simple ideas of how to do it. Those who receive a card are encouraged to do an act of kindness for someone else (or yourself!) or pass it on.

Businesses and organisations who register their interest are encouraged to come up with an idea to celebrate kindness with their staff and/or customers. For some inspiration, check out the photos below to see what last years businesses did.

As an Act Belong Commit partner, the City is committed to encouraging and promoting good mental health and wellbeing throughout the community. The Acts of Kindness Project is just one of the ways we are spreading the Act Belong Commit campaign message about different ways to build connections in our community and create environments that support mental health.

🌻 What are the benefits of being involved?

There are so many!

  • Celebrating and promoting kindness creates a positive environment, and makes you, your staff, and your customers feel good.
  • Be associated with Act Belong Commit, a comprehensive, population wide, community-based, evidence based, preventative mental health promotion campaign created by Mentally Healthy WA.
  • Good PR for your business, demonstrating your business is interested in promoting good mental health in the community.
  • Additional promotion of your business through City of Armadale channels (in relation to the campaign).
  • Encouraging extra customer visits to your business by being involved in a wider promotional campaign.
  • Kindness costs nothing and neither does being involved in this great initiative.

🌻 Sign me up! What happens next?

Businesses and Organisations who register their interest, will receive:

  • 100* x Acts of Kindness cards to hand out on World Kindness Day (13th November) and throughout November 2024.
  • Social media tiles promoting your businesses’ involvement in the project to encourage extra visits to your business.
  • Project information flyer to assist with any questions you may receive from your staff or customers.
  • Bunting for businesses to display (optional).

*Private/home based businesses who register to participate will receive 25 cards.
