How long will construction take?
Approximately 10 weeks, from February - April 2026.
Will pedestrians still be able to walk through the space?
Yes! The team will be managing works to ensure the community can still maintain access through the Public Open Spaces.
Can we still use the playground at Memorial Park?
Yes (mostly!). The team will be managing works to minimise impacts on the play space as much as possible.
Construction zones will be fenced to restrict access and ensure public safety, whilst ensuring pedestrian access through the reserve.
Will the existing trees be affected by the works?
No. The City is working with the contractor to ensure any works within the root zones will be carefully excavated to prevent damage to the City's trees.
