The City of Armadale is seeking input from the public to develop its third Community Health and Wellbeing Plan. The revised Plan will identify and address local health and wellbeing concerns and barriers, whilst providing opportunities for engaging in healthy lifestyles. This Plan will also meet the requirements outlined in the Public Act Health 2016 and State Public Health Plan.
The City is committed to maintaining a healthy, safe and sustainable community for everyone and, as such, we have been undertaking extensive consultation with the aim to provide better quality information to determine what the community’s health and wellbeing concerns and issues are.
The information received to date has supported the development of the City’s draft Community Health and Wellbeing Plan (CHWP) 2025 – 2030. The draft CHWP is now available to view via the Document tab on the right-hand side of this webpage.
The goal of this CHWP is 'To contribute to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for City of Armadale residents, to enable people to live well and experience the best possible quality of life.'
The strategies complementing this goal include:
Empower and enable people to live active, healthy lifestyles by providing opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills.
Promote healthy, strong and resilient communities by building community capacity and providing opportunities for social and cultural connection.
Build healthy public policy.
Foster supportive and healthier natural, built and social environments.
Protect and enhance human health by reducing exposure to environmental and public health risks.
