The City of Armadale is inviting organisations to get involved in distributing Acts of Kindness in Armadale cards this October. Help us spread kindness and build connections throughout the Armadale community by registering below.
This October, in line with Mental Health Week, the City is once again launching the Acts of Kindness in Armadale project to encourage everyone to spread kindness. The City has produced a community kindness card, explaining the benefits of acts of kindness and some simple ideas of how to do it. Those who receive a card are encouraged to do an act of kindness for someone else (or yourself!) or pass it on.
Organisations who register their interest are encouraged to come up with an idea to celebrate kindness with their staff and/or customers. For some inspiration, check out the photos below in the 'ideas' tab to see what last years businesses did.
As an Act Belong Commit partner, the City is committed to encouraging and promoting good mental health and wellbeing throughout the community. The Acts of Kindness in Armadale project is just one of the ways we are spreading the Act Belong Commit campaign message about different ways to build connections in our community and create environments that support mental health.
What are the benefits of being involved?
There are so many!
Celebrating and promoting kindness creates a positive environment, and makes you, your staff, and your clients feel good.
Be associated with Act Belong Commit, a comprehensive, population wide, community-based, evidence based, preventative mental health promotion campaign created by Mentally Healthy WA.
Good PR for your organisation, demonstrating your organisation is interested in promoting good mental health in the community.
Kindness costs nothing and neither does being involved in this great initiative.
Sign me up! What happens next?
Organisations who register their interest, will receive:
100* x Acts of Kindness in Armadalecards to hand out during Mental Health Week and throughout October 2023.
Social media tiles promoting your organisations’ involvement in the project.
Project information flyer to assist with any questions you may receive from your staff or clients.
