Application for Development Approval - Place of Worship - Amendment to Approved Plans and Extension of Time Request - Lot 8, No. 14 McKenzie Grove Kelmscott
The City has received an application for the abovementioned proposal, which involves the following:
A request to extend the term of the existing development approval. The City will consider a maximum two year extension to the term of the development approval.
A request to revert to the proposal to retain the former winery building (as originally proposed) for use as the interim Place of Worship until the new church building is constructed. The applicant has advised that the former winery would then be converted for incidental uses ancillary to the Place of Worship, such as a Sunday school venue.
The relocation of the ablution building nearer to the western boundary. The applicant has proposed a compliant boundary setback of 15m. The applicant has advised that screening vegetation will be planted along the western side boundary in order to screen the ablutions building from view.
The applicant is not proposing to amend any of the conditions of approval applied by Council in its decision of 31/8/18, including Condition 2 which limits the Place of Worship to 50 worshippers during Sunday services.
Should you wish to make comment please complete the online submission or download the PDF version available from the Documents section of this page and return it to the City no later than 9 September 2022. Submissions can be submitted to info@armadale.wa.gov.au.
Should you have any queries regarding this proposal, please contact Mr Chris Valentine from the City’s Planning Services on 08 9394 5405.
