Application for Planning Approval - Telecommunications Infrastructure Lot 500, No. 3056 Albany Highway Mount Nasura 6112 - 10.2022.265.1


The City has received an application for the abovementioned proposal, which involves the following:

  • Installation of one (1) 35.63m tall (total height) monopole with associated telecommunications infrastructure, including;
    • Installation of a 30m tall ATN monopole;
    • 7m x 7m compound area (no trees to be removed within compound area);
    • Installation of three (3) new 4G panel antennas (2.69m in length) and six (6) 5G antennas (less than 1m in length) mounted to new headframe at top of monopole giving total finished height of 35.63m;
    • Installation of equipment cabinets to house base station equipment located at base of monopole; and
    • Cable tray connecting equipment cabinets to monopole;
    • Compound security fencing with access gates;
    • Access track from existing car park, including removal of four small trees
  • Access to the proposed monopole site is proposed via a new access track from the existing Health Campus carpark.

Please note that the land is reserved Public Purpose (Hospital) Reserve in the Metropolitan Regions Scheme, therefore this application will be determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission. The City will make a recommendation to the WAPC. Any submissions received will be forwarded to the WAPC.

As an adjoining or nearby landowner, the proposal has been referred to you for comment.
