Development Application - Greenhouse and Retrospective 2 Sea Containers - No. 59 Freeman Road Forrestdale
The City has received an application for the abovementioned proposal. The City is required to advertise this application prior to making its determination, as the proposal involves the following variations:
Building coverage of 906m2, varying Town Planning Scheme No.4 Part 4B.3.1 which permits building coverage up to 500m2.
Two sea containers are proposed on the subject site, which is zoned as Rural Living. This varies Local Planning Policy 5.4: Sea Containers, Railway Carriages And Other Decommissioned Transport Conveyances Clause 4.1(a), as they are not generally acceptable in this zone.
The proposed and retrospective developments have a floor area of 333m2. When combined with the existing shed, this results in a total floor area of 579m2 for the outbuildings on the subject site. This varies Local Planning Policy PLN 3.4: Outbuildings Clause 4.2, which permits outbuildings on 4ha or more to have a total floor area of 300m2.
