Application for Development Approval - Change of Use - Tavern Lot 15, No. 2897 Albany Highway Kelmscott (former Sizzler Restaurant)
The City has received an application for the abovementioned proposal, which involves the following:
The conversion of the former Sizzler Restaurant to a Tavern use. The existing building is proposed to be kept and upgraded. The use is proposed to have a bar area and serve sit down meals also.
The proposed Tavern use is intended to accommodate up 500 persons at maximum occupancy. The applicant has advised that they expect to reach this figure on Friday and Saturday nights during meal times (6.30pm to 8.30pm) and that occupancy will be lower outside of these times.
The applicant has provided an Acoustic Assessment and a draft Alcohol Management Plan as part of their application.
Tavern is a discretionary (A) land use in the District Centre zone under the City of Armadale Town Planning Scheme No. 4. Discretionary (A) land uses must be advertised to the public for comment as part of the City’s consideration of the application.
