Notice is hereby given that the City of Armadale has received the above-mentioned structure plan prepared by Harley Dykstra Planning & Survey Solutions on behalf of landowner(s) to guide future subdivision and development of the landholdings. The Structure Plan proposes:
An estimated 395 dwellings at housing density codes of R40 (average lot area 220m²), R60 (average lot area 150m²) and R80 (average lot area 120m²) serviced by local roads
A foreshore reserve (9931m2) along the Canning River, and,
public open space (6799m²) that supplements the foreshore reserve and which includes land identified as Bush Forever (environmentally significant) by the State Government.
Plans and documents setting out and explaining the structure plan are available for viewing on this webpage. Alternatively, they can also be viewed at the City of Armadale main administration building (7 Orchard Avenue, Armadale) between 8.15am - 4.45pm Monday-Friday.
Submissions on the structure plan must be in writing (refer below submission form), and can be lodged in person at the above address, via email to info@armadale.wa.gov.au or posted to Locked Bag No.2, Armadale 6992. Submissions are to include the Structure Plan name/reference number, the property affected, submitter name, address and details of the submission.
The time period allowed for submissions on the structure plan is prescribed by the State Government’s Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 and the City must adhere to these requirements. Submissions are to be lodged with the City on or before close of business on:
Friday 8th September 2023 at 4.45pm (AWST)
Please note that the structure plan is being advertised to seek public comment on the proposal, and advertising does not necessarily indicate that the proposal will receive final support and/or approval from the City of Armadale or the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC).
Following review of submissions received during the advertising period the City will prepare a recommendation for the WAPC, who will make a determination on the Structure Plan.
