Application for Development Approval - Change of Use to Container Deposit Recycling Centre - Lot 110, No. 223 Railway Avenue, Kelmscott

The City has received an application for the abovementioned proposal. The applicant is proposing the following:

  1. Change of use to Container Deposit Recycling Centre;
  2. Number of staff is three (3);
  3. Hours of operation are Monday-Sunday - 8.00am to 5.00pm;
  4. Waste/resource collection:
    1. The containers will be collected & stored in bins inside the warehouse sections of the building;
    2. Two (2) companies will be engaged to remove the containers at different times (i.e. two (2) collections per day and three (3) collections per week);
    3. Collection vehicles will enter from Brant Road and pick up the containers from the rear roller door areas, minimizing any significant impact on the front setback area;

As an adjoining or nearby landowner, the proposal has been referred to you for comment. Should you wish to make comment please complete the attached submission form and return it to this office no later than 4 April 2024.
