The City has received an application for a proposed Holiday Accommodation (and ancillary uses) on the 4.19ha site, which includes 11 architecturally designed accommodation blocks containing 68 individual rooms, inclusive of 4 disability access rooms. The ancillary amenities are intended for the use by guests staying overnight. These facilities include:

  • Facilities for Food & Beverage Kiosks;
  • Pool, Yoga & Gym;
  • Private Reception Centre & Kitchen Prep Area;
  • Recreation Spaces both Large & Small;
  • Restaurant, Kitchen & Alfresco Dining Area;
  • Services & Administration; and
  • Outdoor Family Areas & Toilet Facilities.

The applicant proposes the following variations to Town Planning Scheme No.4:

  1. Buildings are located 20m from the wetland, in lieu of not being erected within 50m of a protected wetland.
  2. The proposed total building coverage is 3692m2, in lieu of 500m2, which represents 9% of the total site.
