Development Application - Holiday Accommodation / Reception Centre - Lot 104, No.171 Canns Road, Bedfordale
The City has received an application for the abovementioned proposal, which involves the following:
Reception / wedding venue including:
Conversion of existing cellar door building for office/administration purposes;
Construction of two new barns for wedding ceremony/reception space, including dining and dance floor;
Construction of toilet block;
Conversion of existing dwelling to caretakers accommodation;
Various structures including pergodas, shade sails, playground and signage;
Vehicle parking areas (bus and car parking areas), driveway/turnaround areas, and pedestrian footpaths; and,
Proposed total building coverage on the site of approximately 1,023sqm;
Holiday accommodation including:
Construction of four (4) eco-tents for short stay holiday accommodation;
Proposed operation:
1 - 2 weddings/events per week;
Hours and days of operation:
Reception / wedding venue - 3.00pm to 12.00 midnight, Friday to Sunday;
Holiday accommodation - 7 days a week;
Maximum number of patrons - 120 persons, including holiday accommodation guests; and,
12 employees / contractors (estimated);
Other works:
Removal of vegetation, including 37 trees, of which five (5) are endemic species.
