Homelessness Week is a national annual event occurring the first week of August. Homelessness Week 2025 will be held from Monday August 4 to Sunday August 9. In 2025 the theme Homelessness Australia has chosen is Homelessness Action Now

Homelessness Week aims to raise and expand awareness of the impact of homelessness, and the solutions needed to prevent and end homelessness.

On any given night, 122,494 people in Australia are experiencing homelessness (ABS Census 2021).

Every night 9,729 people experience homelessness in WA (ABS Census 2021)

This Homelessness Week, the City of Armadale is showcasing the important work of local support services through interviews that highlight their impact in our community.

Street Doctor

360 Street Doctor is a mobile GP clinic aiming to improve the health & wellbeing of homeless, transient & disadvantaged people in identified suburbs around Perth, WA.

Services provided through the clinic include:

  • Immunisations
  • Support services (mental health, alcohol and drug issues, sexual health and general health)
  • Minor cut and wound care
  • Chronic disease management
  • Preventative health

Consultations are bulk billed to Medicare at 360 Street Doctor. Please bring your Medicare and concession cards to your consultation.

Homelessness We Care Serpentine Jarrahdale and Surrounds

Homelessness We Care Serpentine Jarrahdale is a volunteer-driven charity that collaborates with local authorities to provide essential support, ensuring that every individual they encounter receives food and access to professional services for recovery and stability in our community.

Homelessness We Care helps to connect individuals with professional services who can assist with recovery from homelessness and financial hardship and ensure that individuals facing homelessness receive nutritious meals and essential food supplies regularly.

Street Aid

Street Aid WA is volunteer led organization based in the South East Metropolitan Area of Perth, Western Australia.

Street Aid provides a wide range of support services for the homeless, including general first aid and wound care, counselling, trauma counselling, advocacy, alcohol and other drug counselling and support, safe sex information, and hygiene packs. Street Aid also operates a Community Pet Food Pantry with distribution points across Perth.
