The City’s Design Review Panel and consultants are a key source of advice for the City and applicants in relation to the assessment of significant development applications and structure plans as provided for by the Local Planning Policy PLN 3.13. The City is currently seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified professionals to join our Design Review Panel.
Registrations are being sought from professionals in one or more of the following areas of expertise:
Built form Architecture (2 positions)
Town Planning and / or urban design (2 positions)
Heritage Architecture (2 positions)
Landscape Architect (2 positions)
The City is currently considering expanding the number of Panel members in some categories, as part of a review of its Policy 3.13 and if adopted by Council, this may provide for appointment of more members.
The Panel will be appointed in accordance with PLN 3.13 terms of reference and engaged under the City’s General Conditions for Goods and Services. The City currently holds its meetings on an ad-hoc basis and in virtual format, though this is subject to change.
To register your interest, please complete the registration of interest form, and provide a covering letter and CV demonstrating your relevant skills and experience in providing independent expert advice and in design review of major developments. Please also nominate a fee, noting the City offers fees to a maximum of $275.00 per hour excluding GST capped at three hours.
If you are interested in helping ensure a high standard of design quality is achieved for development within the City, please provide your Registration of Interest to info@armadale.wa.gov.au by 10 May 2024. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted. Following the registration of interest, a report will be prepared to council for consideration.
